I commented on the original too, Meade had a strategy for pursuing Lee, but the officer responsible for carrying out his plan died during Pickett's Charge, and Meade knew that it would take too long to brief another officer on the plan, and it would be too risky to send forces that didn't know the plan instead.

Hey my comment got mentionned in a video, is that what fame feels like? ^^ More seriously, he didn't make any announcement concerning the finale, he directly sent emails to reactors like Mr Terry and Chris from Vlogging Through History. i only have the info Chris shared, which wasn't much since he considered it a private chat. I think the best way to havemore info would be to directly contact one of them. The last video is one hour long, about the first 20 minutes are a regular episode, but the next 40 are a fan film that he slowly put in place with the after credit sketches from the previous videos.

When it comes to America's involvement in Vietnam, the book Dereliction of Duty by H.R. McMaster really goes in depth for why the war wasn't able to be concluded on terms favorable to the U.S. The long and short of it was the Kennedy and Johnson administrations tried to use the war as leverage for domestic agendas. By trying to garner support from both the left and right both administrations had to commit troops to Vietnam without appearing to escalate the war. This put the administrations in a situation where defeat was inevitable.

The artist Don Troiani, who does great research into his projects, found that a group of black slaves did fight in the battle of Chickamauga in September 1863. According to Troiani, about forty slaves armed themselves using captured or abandoned weapons. Their masters were men from the 4th Tennessee Cavalry. Of those approximently forty slaves, four were killed and seven wounded. They were not official soldiers. Instead they were still slaves. This goes towards Billy's statement that there were some slaves loyal to masters to the point they would fight in combat.

Late to the party, but I think Red really undersells how interesting this trope is in Doctor Who. After that scene where the Master refuses to regenerate, the Doctor fully thinks that the last Time Lord besides him has died. The audience, however, does see some foreshadowing that he isn't dead, so I wouldn't call that a continuity issue. But I digress. However, before the Master reappears, there is an episode, regarded as one of the best of the series, where the Doctor finds a group of people in the near-ish future who he knows are going to die, and their death has HUGE consequences for the future of humanity. This is what is called a fixed point in time, an event that's too important to be altered, and altering it could have huge consequences (there are also changes that would create time paradoxes, which also enter this category). If you change smaller things, the universe can course-correct without too much issue, but certain events are just too important to change, and attempts to change them could destroy time itself. Time Lords were in charge of making sure that didn't happen. But in that episode, while at first, the Doctor decides to respect those laws of time, he ends up going against them and trying to save those people who were supposed to die. His reasoning is that he is the last of the Time Lords, and therefore... nobody can stop him. He can do what he wants with those laws. "It's taken me all these years to realise: The laws of time are mine! AND THEY WILL OBEY ME!" He actually does succeed in saving them. He then becomes super arrogant, expresses that nothing can stop him anymore, to the point of sounding like a villain. "For a long time, now, I thought I was just a survivor. But I'm not. I'm the winner. That's who I am. The Time Lord Victorious." But... Turns out, the universe is resistant to such big changes. At the end of the episode, something happens and it course-corrects what the Doctor tried to do. And that's when the Doctor realises he's gone too far. The laws of time do not, in fact, obey him. During this episode, the Doctor becomes a sort of anti-Aang. Instead of making sure his culture doesn't die, he completely rejects the laws of the Time Lords, and it ends up being a bad decision on his part. The Doctor was known for not vibing with the other Time Lords even before the Last Great Time War, but that was THE one piece of Time Lord culture he definitely should have upheld. And I really wish Red touched on that one. I don't know when she stopped watching, but that episode is only one season away from the episode she talked about (still with David Tennant as the Doctor). And it was such an interesting idea for an episode in the context of the show.

That was Alicia Dominica, one of the personal bodyguards of Goge Vandire. She was personally brought before the Emperor by the Custodes at the end of Vandire's Reign of Blood. I don't think the novel goes into what exchange happened between Dominica and the Emperor, but when she left the throne room she appeared to have aged a few decades(I think) and her hair was bleached stark white. She met with her fellow leader of the Brides of the Emperor to tell them of what she experienced and then left to confront Vandire. The exchange between Dominica and Vandire in this episode is verbatim from their exchange in the novel. Right after Vandire says, "I don't have time to die, I'm too busy!", she decapitates him. Immediately after the group that was called the Brides of the Emperor go back to calling themselves the Daughters of the Emperor. The Lords of Terra pass a law that says that the Ecclesiarchy cannot have men under arms, but due to a loophole the Adepta Sororitas(Sisters of Battle) becomes their chambers militant. Alicia Dominica, along with her fellow sister-leaders in the Daughters of the Emperor, after they get restructured into the Adepta Sororitas, each formed their own order. The order that she formed is known as the Order of Our Martyred Lady and its members all dye their hair white in remembrance of and to honor her.

I have made ancient Finnish beer called sahti. It takes 1,5 weeks to mature and because the yeast is alive, it's drinkable for 3 weeks. At the start it's about 6-9%abv with a sweet taste and the end around 14-18%. After that the yeast has eaten all the sugars and it becomes too bitter. I think it might get alcoholic faster without refrigeration, so a week sounds possible

I'll disagree with the combat, Bloodborne is the PEAK of soulsborne controls. Super fluid trick weapons rather than clunkly weapon arts, lightning fast dodges and much more aggressive. Elden Ring is great for options and variety but it doesn't hold a candle to BB in combat. The only real issue BB has is 29fps :(

Really excited for this! I mentioned before that real world alchemy is a big deal in Elden Ring but Miquella in particular came up a lot when comparing the character roles to texts I read. This is going to go over so many peoples heads but bear with me. I am under no doubt that Miquella is meant to represent both The Inner Gold and the Philosopher's Stone. It makes sense considering his youth, academic mind, and the fact he is the oldest living child of Radagon and Marika (Malenia is explicitly described as being the youngest in the Japanese version). The fact he is the son of a Rebis (Marika/Radagon being the same), not only that but a Rebis that likely went through a complete Magnum Opus ritual (implied in dialogue, likely nigredo and albedo stages achieved before Renala entered the picture since lunar energy is needed at this point, Citrinitas and Rubedo after reuniting with Marika) further drawing the connection. The thing that makes me curious is Miquella being Trina implies he's also a Rebis, however I doubt think this is the case. If he's already meant to be to represent such a complete being he wouldn't need to do another ritual so Trina is likely his Anima, a feminine subconscious force inside of men. Trina being a sleep deity would support this, but if we are getting another Magnum Opus then Trina will have to play the role of White Queen to Miquella's Red King which I suspect Mohg doesn't want.

High society Drukhari turn to more mental torments. The dark city of Commoraugh is built up into 3 groups. Kabals, Cults and Covens. Kabals are genrally military, Wych Cults are gladiator warriors and keep Commoraugh from imploding with their arenas and Haemonculus Covens are mad scientists and drug synthesizers. Each group can and does go on realspace raids for any reason. Mostly for slaves. Drukhari are not loyal to each other, but have temporary alliances.

Unfortunately, the Dorsetshire did NOT truly land the finishing blow on the Bismarck. The Germans still on board Bismarck were given orders to set scuttling charges and sink the ship themselves to deny the British the honor of the kill. The charges went off, Bismarck began to capsize, and Dorsetshire's torpedoes slammed into Bismarck right as it was halfway through capsizing.
